IDHN researchers and collaborators developed India’s first customized cloud-based digital surveillance system. The system utilized ubiquitous, inexpensive cloud-based mobile technology to rapidly collate and analyse data on outpatient encounters within the temporary health system of the world’s largest mass gathering, the Allahabad Kumbh Mela in India, a 55-day festival attended by over 70 million people.
